Went for a hike...

Tuesday November 13...11:00pm

Drove about 25 km's to a fairly steep dirt road that we had to do another 4 km's on in order to get to the trailhead for Bluenose Trail. It's about a 2 ½ hour hike that takes you to 2 different lookout points. Temperature was about 9 in Vernon, so out
there it was still a nice day. As we got higher there was some fairly thick frost on the ground though. Came across a dead lizard! Never would have thought there were lizards in mountains in British Columbia. Didn't see any other animals though except for a few eagles flying around. Nice view at the top though.

Then went back to Aunt Barbara's where we looked at some old family photos of grandfathers and great grandfathers. Interesting stuff. Thinking about how people lived back then sure makes you realize how easy we have it!

Had a fish and chips supper at "C-Lovers" restaurant. Met my cousin Ellen, and her guy Ben and her sons Devin and Rhys. Ellen now moves back to the bottom of my list of cousins I haven't seen for the longest! They live 8 km's up a mountain and tomorrow they're taking us up there to do some hiking. Apparently there's some really interesting rock formations up where they live so that should be fun.
