Went for a long walk this morning along the shoreline following an old path that we were told used to be the road through here before they built the main highway in 1973. We were gone about 3 hours, and I'm guessing we walked about 7 km's. It's still really windy on this part of the coast.
Where we parked for the night
We walked along this old road out to the point at the end of the beach

Did some reading this afternoon. Finished the book about the history of Cuba from early 1900's to 1963. Interesting stuff, for anyone who's ever visited Cuba. Started a murder mystery...probably the first fiction book I've read in a couple of years.
Started getting ready for dinner at around 5:00pm because we had to be at the restaurant on the beach for cocktails at 6:00pm. Dinner was a type of stuffed chili peppers. Really good. We paid $9.00 each for dinner and another $13.50 for drinks and party favours and stuff. Considering it was just a little beachfront restaurant, they did a pretty good job of keeping everyone entertained from 6:00pm to midnight. We figure that with the drinks we had, this $45 New Years Eve would have been well over $120 anywhere in Canada. They even did fireworks at midnight. Lots of fun.
