Ruth's day - Tuesday, December 4th
Rather than repeat what Kevin has already said about our early morning I will continue with my day. By the way it was dark and rainy this morning.
After dropping Kevin off at the airport I had to make my way back to Sherman, in a strange city, by myself with Whiskey, in the dark and now its really pouring. Once I made it back I tried to have a nap, but that only lasted awhile. Had breakfast then headed out to do laundry, still raining! Came back to Sherman, had lunch and got a package ready to mail off to Lindsey and Justin for Christmas (its easier to mail it from Canada, than it would be from the US or Mexico. Took the package off to the post office (yours will get sent from the USA Alex!...it's easier that way for you). It finally stops raining long enough that I can take Whiskey for a better walk but its still wet.
Next went into the casino to use the phone and check on Colin's flight, a little late but not much. Decide to spend $5 on the slots, towards our overnight stay, lost it of course, but had fun.
Finally go and pick up Colin at the airport, my timing was great, only had to wait 10 or 15 minutes for him. We went back to Sherman and had supper. Then Colin practiced getting the feel of Sherman in the Home Depot parking lot across the street, then it was off to a parking lot closer to the car rental place, where we left Sherman and dropped the car off and walked back. Streets are pretty quiet now so Colin drives us to our destination close to the border crossing. He did just fine although I felt we were going pretty fast for only just having got in the motorhome. I was a bit nervous, maybe a bit more than a bit. Once we got to the Great Canadian Super Store it was almost 1am, so we went straight to bed. What a day for Colin.
