Got on the road about 10:00am for the approximately 2 hour drive to Miami-Dade College. It’s back closer to Miami where the casino was that we stayed at a few days ago. So we’ve already been to this area and we’re backtracking now, but it gives us a chance to go into Miami Beach area which we never got to do earlier.
The game didn’t start until 3pm, so we took Whiskey for a walk and then relaxed in the motorhome and spoke with some of the other parents. There are 3 or 4 players on Alex’s team who are from this area, so their parents were at the game as well.
But the game didn’t go so well. We expected the loss…Miami-Dade’s ball team is very strong and they’re a Division I team…also, they start playing outdoors as a team in January. Anyhow, Jefferson lost 13-0. They played well in the outfield for the most part, but only got 5 hits…and then 2 of them were picked off at first base. Alex went 0-2 with 2 strikeouts and a walk. Still looking for his first hit of the season.

Writing the journal early tonight, because the casino doesn’t have wireless internet, although they say they’re in the process of having it installed.
