Saturday March 22…9:45pm

Alex’s team played a double header today. They won the first game 3-1, and lost the second game 2-0. Their team hitting was terrible. In 14 innings, they got just 1 hit….a solo home run. Alex went 0-1 at the plate in the first game
with a walk and a stolen base. And 0-1 in the second game with a walk. But we had fun watching, and the team had fun playing. However I’m sure they’ll be spending time on their batting at the next practice.

They had some rain showers in the second game, but they managed to finish the game. As we were driving the 12 miles or so back to the hotel, it started raining fairly hard, and it didn’t let up for quite a while. The forecast isn’t great for tomorrow and they’re supposed to play at Broward Community College which is back in Fort Lauderdale area. And then on Monday they’re back in Miami area at Miami Dade Community College. So hopefully the bad weather holds off because we don’t want to be driving all that way in the motorhome and then have them not play due to weather. But…we can’t do anything about the weather!

Had a game of euchre against Alex and Adam, one of his teammates. Ruth and I were winning 9-5, and they came back to beat us 10-9…but I’m sure we’ll have a rematch over the next week or so.
