Day 5 Bayou Segnette

Saturday March 1...10:20pm

Beautiful day out today, just a little wind and mostly sunny, feels like it will be a pretty warm day. Took Whiskey for a walk around the campsite, and found that it was quite full. There are 100 sites and there were about 20 that were
empty. When I went to bed last night I thought there would be too much noise, I heard some, but got to sleep with no problems, and had a great sleep. Tonight might be a different story. I don't know what happened to the sit around the campfire and talk, roast marshmallows, but a group of nuts down the road (about 5 sites or so), have come with all the toys. They are sitting outside with a slide screen up and a movie and speakers playing at a very loud level (something like a drive-in). I am sitting in Sherman with the windows and the vents shut and the TV on and I can still hear their noise, not too impressed. They have kids so I expect that they will be packing up tomorrow and heading out, hopefully!!!!

Again I didn't do too much today. I read for a bit this morning and after lunch I took Whiskey for a walk on the main road in front of the park. Not really my idea of a walk, 4 lanes of traffic, but I knew that down the road was a pet grooming shop and I wanted to get Whiskey nails clipped. Poor Whiskey though, she thought that she was in the vet's office and all she wanted was to get out. She really hates the vet's! Anyway they took her right away and she was done in less than five minutes and it was only $7, which I thought was great. I've paid a lot more than that at the vet's. On the way back I stopped in at the tourist office to see if there were any bike paths around, which there is one, not too far away, but was told that she didn't recommend me to go by myself. Apparently since Katrina, it isn't as safe as it use to be and she didn't think it would be a wise idea, or taking the bus downtown by myself, so it looks like I will spend another boring day here tomorrow.

I did a little more cleaning in Sherman once I got back from my walk, had some dinner and watched a bit of TV, how exciting is that?
