We were the only RV's in the Walmart lot last night.
Ruth wanted to do some laundry and I had some minor dental work done while we waited for Lindsey and Justin to arrive this afternoon. We made it to the airport about an hour early and parked in their "courtesy waiting lot". Other airports could learn from this! They have a free parking lot for people who are going to wait with their vehicle until the plane disembarks that is carrying the person they're picking up. They have a big TV screen board set up in the parking lot that shows arrivals and whether or not the plane had disembarked. Then, your party calls you on your cell phone and you drive up to pick them up. All without having to pay for parking. What a great idea.
And so Lindsey and Justin finally arrived! Their flight landed at 4:12pm...almost 2 days later than they were scheduled for. But they are here now, and we drove about 17 miles to a really nice campsite right on the beach. Huguenot Memorial Park...$7 a night without hookups. Quite a few noseeum bugs around, but other than that it's a really nice spot. We'll be sure to stop in here again on our way out of Florida in early April.
