Left Huguenot Park at about 8am. They have nasty noseeum flies there…other than that, it was a nice park. Those little sand gnats bite you one day…but the bite doesn’t start to itch until a day or two later. And I find the itch worse than a typical mosquito bite. So I’m sure we’ll pay for it tomorrow or the next day.
We headed to a Walmart Superstore to do a big grocery shop and get caught up on email from our 2 days at Huguenot. Drove a short way further to Brunswick, Georgia, and had lunch at a picnic stop by the roadside. Found a tire and brake shop who was willing to look at our wheel bearing problem right away. They were really good and had us back on the road within a couple of hours. By then, it was around 5pm…total cost of $96, so we were very pleased with that.
Parked at another Walmart near Brunswick. Took Whiskey for a walk. Treated ourselves to a Baskin Robbins ice cream cone.
There are about 8 other RV’s parked near us…most of them from Quebec. We expect the Walmarts on the way home to be fairly busy with snowbirds returning to the north.
