Watertown (day 10)

Wednesday April 30

It was cold last night! Temperature was 7C (44F) on the bedside thermometer when we awoke. Had to put the furnace on again!

I have a minor head cold…stuffy nose and sneezing, that sort of thing. So it certainly doesn’t help with the temperature being cold. We went to Alex’s baseball double header this afternoon. It was their last two home games. It didn’t start until 3pm, so by that time the sun was already starting to go behind the stadium seating area. We got dressed warmly, and then got into our sleeping bags in our lawn chairs to watch the game! It actually wasn’t bad like that, but you could tell a lot of the other spectators, as well as some of the players, were pretty cold.

But they won both games! Each game had a score of 7-5. The other team was ahead in the second game when Alex had a nice hit that turned around the score, and he even made the sports highlights reel of the nightly news on the local TV station. It's a real fast mention, but he's world famous now...
