Watertown (day 8)

Saturday April 26…10:00pm

Another lazy day. We took Whiskey for a walk down by the Black River here in Watertown. It’s still pretty high from the spring runoff. The temperature was warm again this morning, and I ended up putting my shorts on when we got back to Sherman.

I did some more polishing on Sherman. The front end is made of fibreglas gelcoat. It’s different from the painted surfaces on the rest of the body, and it doesn’t stay shiny very long. Also, without the shine, the bugs tend to stick to it more. So I’m trying to keep it polished and waxed, but it’s a lot of maintenance. I’m far too busy to be able to keep up with it! (smile).

We took Alex’s baseball laundry in. He was busy with some of his buddies doing scorekeeping or something at a local high school baseball game. We managed to fit his laundry into our busy schedule.

So it was another nice day, but it’s raining now, and there’s been thunder showers on and off all evening. Tomorrrow is supposed to be sunny again, but not very warm with a high around 63F (15C). Then, it’s supposed to get wet and cold for the week, but let’s hope they’re wrong!

Headed for Herkimer to watch Alex’s team play a double header tomorrow afternoon. We’ll likely stay down there for a day or two, but if the weather sucks, we may head back up here.
