Another week of nice weather. Yesterday was actually fairly hot…about 28C and a little humid. Haven’t made it into the swimming pool yet though…gotta be over 30C for me to do that.
Lindsey came over on Monday and she took Ruth into Charlottetown to do a big grocery shop. Then the three of us went to the Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant in North Rustico. This is one of the big touristy restaurants that specialize in “Lobster Suppers”. They charge $30.95 plus enough tax to bring it to $35 per person for a 1 lb lobster and the famous 60 ft long salad bar with all you can eat seafood chowder and mussells. Overall, it was good…but I’ve decided it wasn’t worth $35. When you figure that you can buy a 1 lb lobster fresh for $7.50 a pound, and the fact that I’m not fond of mussells, then it was a bit overpriced. Plus, Ruth’s seafood chowder was much better than theirs. So considering we like our own cooking, next time I want to have lobster (which in itself I find a bit overrated) we’ll buy it and cook it ourselves!
I took apart the shower and faucets and cleaned them and fixed a small leak in the shower drain. And we defrosted the fridge and freezer.
We rode our bikes down to the beach one evening to see the sunset.

Yesterday, I helped Geoff (Geoff and Fran are the other workamping couple here…we get along well with them) change his roof A/C unit. He’s had warranty problems with it, and this is the 5th one he’s had to change! It wasn’t that difficult, except it’s awkward and fairly heavy, so it took two of us to hoist it up on the roof, and get the old one down.
