St.-Jerome, Quebec

Monday August 18…11:00pm

We got up at 6am in order to get out of Quebec City area before rush hour began.

Uneventful driving, although it got really windy. Our route was planned north of Montreal so that we would avoid that whole mess of traffic. We made it to the town of Ste-Sophie, where we pulled into a rest stop. This one was fairly new and actually had parking stalls for motorhomes and a dump station. We decided to settle here for a few hours and then head to a Walmart in St-Jerome for the night. As we were waiting a big storm pulled through the area, and it rained for a couple of hours. Lots of thunder and lightning so Whiskey was not a happy camper.

We did 265 km’s today, so tomorrow we will just have a short drive through Hawkesbury and on to Ottawa.
