Coasta Esmerelda (day 5)

Saturday November 29…11:00pm

I rode back to the hotel this morning, and used their internet. It was a different person at the front counter, and I asked if I could use the internet, he said it was okay. Glen and Steve went later in the morning, and they also had no problem using it.

Kind of a coasting day today…as if they all aren’t! Actually, I mentioned to Ruth the other day how, although it seems like we don’t do very much all day, the time goes by with no problem whatsoever. I putter around Sherman, cleaning things and doing some polishing, and then take Whiskey for a little wander down the beach. Then come back and do some reading, then play some backgammon or cards, maybe a little more polishing, and before you know it, it’s suppertime! Then, some more cards in the evening, or maybe a movie on the laptop, and then do it all over again the next day!

The weather has been really good. The past few days the high has been around 28C (83F), with calm clear skies in the morning, and then clouding a bit in the afternoon with the wind picking up. I haven’t used any sunscreen yet, and have managed to spend quite a bit of time in the shade. So I haven’t got a sunburn either, and am slowly getting a nice tan.
