Cancun (day 3)

Monday December 29…11:15pm

We took Whiskey for a walk this morning, and then left her with Carmen, whose dog and 3 cats seem to get along fine with Whiskey.
Then, Ruth and I walked to the Walmart and the Costco in order to check out whether or not it was worthwhile stopping in later for some items that we could take home in Carmen’s car.

After a quick lunch, Carmen took Steve and Glen, and Ruth and I to a glass shop where S&G could get a new piece of mirror cut for their motorhome’s side mirror. We had been on a very narrow stretch of highway the other day, and their side mirror caught one of the sign posts and broke the glass. Then, carmen took Ruth and I to a pet shop where we could buy the proper “Frontline” medication to deal with Whiskey’s tick problem. They’ve been giving her trouble since we got to Mexico, and finally we have the proper medication for her, so hopefully that problem will go away.

Afterwards, we stopped at both Walmart and Costco and stocked up on a few things. Then, Glen made supper and invited us and Carmen and her daughter to have dinner in their motorhome.

Carmen has invited us to spend New Years Eve with her and her friends, so we’re going to stay put for a couple more days. Tomorrow we’re going to take the ferry to Isla Mujeres, a 6 km long island just off the coast here at Cancun.
