We relaxed at Carmens house in the morning, just doing some internet and laundry and chatting.
Then at about 11:30am, we left to go see a movie with S&G. Ruth and I hadn’t seen a movie in a theatre for over a year and a half. We went and saw “Australia”, with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. She doesn’t do anything for me, but he was pretty good. Overall, not a bad movie. A little long, but fairly entertaining. It cost 31 pesos each ($2.82 CAN, $2.30 US) and it was in a modern cinema with very comfortable reclining chairs. The movie was in English, with Spanish subtitles. There were only about 20 people there.
We got back to the motorhomes at about 3:30pm and had a nap for an hour or so. Carmen had 2 more couchsurfers come in, a couple of women from Finland. So a few people wanted to do some groceries and Carmen took 4 of us to Walmart. I had forgotten to by a big jug of drinking water when we went the other day, so I jumped in with them. Walmart was a zoo. I have never seen a Walmart so busy. They had every single cash open, and the lineup for the “20 items or less” went all the way to the back of the store! Fortunately, it moved along quite quickly, but still one of us got in line right away with an empty cart, and the rest of us brought items to the cart as it moved along.
