Calderitas (day 10)

Tuesday January 20…9:45pm

Another beautiful day. Sunny, the odd cloudy period, and about 26C (78F).

Went for a nice long walk and then Ruth gave Whiskey a bath in the pond. She got a good brushing after that, and now she’s all nice and soft and clean.

Whiskey all clean and brushed.  Doesn't she look soft and fluffy?

Pablo came over after lunch with two coconuts that he lopped the top off so we could drink the juice. I found it was sweeter than the last ones we tried, but maybe that has something to do with the type of tree, or how ripe they are…not sure.

Kathe’s satellite internet wasn’t working properly, so I put the laptop in the backpack and rode my bike down to the trailer park in Calderitas. They have wifi internet there, and I was going to see if I could use it.. There were still only two rigs set up there, the same people we had bumped into in Campeche before Christmas. The one guy was sitting under a palapa using his internet, and he said nobody would care if I did the same, so I spent 45 minutes or so online.

While I was doing that, a caravan of motorhomes showed up. There were about 10 of them, and it turned out these were the same group of Quebecers we have seen a couple of times before during our trip.

Kathe had been out all day, and she came back with a 6 month old German Shephard. She says the dog she has, Pas, isn’t enough of a guard dog. So she wants this one to be a little more aggressive.

Watched a movie this evening. “The Lady and the Highwayman” with Hugh Grant. Not one of his better acting gigs!
