Acapulco (day 3)

Monday March 9…9:45pm

Tonight marks 500 nights sleeping in a motorhome!

We road our bikes down to the laundry place and dropped off a load. It was going to cost 80 pesos ($6.88 CAN, $5.16 US) for our two full backpacks of laundry. We were to pick it up at 7pm tonight.

Then, we rode our bikes along the coast road to check out the other RV parks and see if there was anybody we knew. It was futher than we thought, but eventually made it to the Playa Luces RV Park. This used to be an actual KOA park, but my guess is they couldn’t keep it up to KOA standards. Anyhow, it has a bigger swimming pool than the one we are at, but overall we like ours more and the Acapulco Trailer Park where we are staying remains the better choice. Then there’s another one further on, but we had enough bike riding today and headed back to Sherman.

I spent the afternoon cleaning the carpet. When you’re living in it full time, the carpet can get pretty dirty and despite regular sweeping and vacuuming it needed a good wash. So I got out the bucket and scrubbed it good. It now looks much better!

Then, I sat at the internet for a while and sorted out our route and possible overnight points for our journey back to Texas over the next 3 weeks.

We rode our bikes back to the laundry place at 6:45pm, and the clothes weren’t quite ready but they folded them while we waited.

Played Yahtzee in the evening, and will get to bed at a decent hour because we are heading up the coast towards Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo tomorrow morning.

Total nights sleeping in a motorhome…500

March Fuel $ 87.00 CAN

March Grocery $ 84.51 CAN

March Overnight costs $ 62.10 CAN
