Playa Ventura (day 2)

Friday March 6…10:00pm

Walked with Whiskey on the beach this morning back towards town.

Another view of Playa Ventura

Our parking spot. Not the most scenic, but we were the only ones there and the front faced the ocean. All for $5.25 a night...

We were going to go for a bike ride at some point today, and Ruth’s back tire has been flat for the last few days so I took the wheel apart and repaired the inner tube. Many of the plants down here have a lot of spikes on them, and I guess she must have run over one of them because there were 5 different holes in the tube, all in the same area. One of the spikes was still embedded in the tire.

After my repair job, the tire held air, so we did go for a little bike ride down the dirt road. The beach goes for quite a ways and I bet there are a lot of beautiful spots to park a motorhome if you were brave enough to take one down that road. It was actually in pretty good shape, but really only wide enough for one vehicle.

I had a nap in the hammock this afternoon while Ruth did some work on our photos on the computer. She’s pretty good at keeping them up to date and organized.

We’ll leave here fairly early tomorrow morning, and should be in Acapulco by lunchtime.

Total nights sleeping in a motorhome…497

March Fuel $ 44.00 CAN

March Grocery $ 34.82 CAN

March Overnight costs $ 10.50 CAN

  1. I know what you mean about those pesky little thorns! We had them in Spain last year & had to repair 24 punctures! We began to be put off going for a bike ride, in the end we replaced the inner tube & as they are so cheap to buy (cheaper than a repair kit!?) we now just change the tube. So far on this year's trip to Spain we've managed to avoid the thorns.... Love seeing your header photos! Continue enjoying your trip. Sharon Mainprice x

    1. Yep those thorns a definitely a big pain when going for a bike ride. We now tend to stick to a pavement path whenever we can and avoid little paths as much as possible when we are down here in Mexico. Not sure how much the tubes are here, but I expect that they are probably a little more expensive than at home.

We look forward to getting back to Spain and some other European countries in the near future with a motorhome. We really enjoyed our two months in the motorhome back in January and February of 2017.

We are glad that you love seeing our header pictures each day! And, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. :-)
