We planned on a short 50 km (30 mile) drive to Caleta de Campos. And we made it there in about an hour.
We parked at the top of a hill leading down to the beach, and I walked down to check out parking possibilities. Found a very nice grassy area with some trees for shade, and the guy wanted 100 pesos ($8.60 CAN, $6.50 US) which I thought was a little expensive just for parking with no services. We decided to continue on because the guy at the first Pemex where we bought gas said there was camping near the second Pemex at the other side of town. And there was a spot, but it wasn’t the nicest. We had already passed the other entrance into town, so we decided that we’d just continue on and find something else.
So we ended up driving a total of 110 kms (68 miles) from Playa Azul and it took us 2 hours and 15 minutes, not including stopping. Average of 48.4 kms/hr (30 mph).
We came across an “Ecotourism Centre” called Zapote de Tizupan. They have built a brand new RV park here. We are the first people to park in it. They only finished hooking up the electric yesterday. We are in the only site that has the grass finished. They’ve done a pretty good job, but it’s a little too close to the road. Without electricity, we paid 100 pesos. Went for a walk along the beach. This beach has little pink clam shells. We’ve never seen pink clam shells before.

Did some reading and relaxed for the rest of the day.
Watched another movie tonight. “Kill Cruise”. Elizabeth Hurley was in it, I think it must have been her first movie. Not something to be especially proud of!
