We were at the ballpark for 12 noon, and it was shorts and t-shirts weather. High today turned out to be a record 88F (31C) so it was fantastic. Plus the baseball was great.
Plattsburgh lost the first game 12-3. Our pitching wasn’t there in the first couple of innings, and the other team got off to a great lead which we were never able to catch up to. But the second game was great. There was scoring in every inning, and by the middle of the 9th it was an 8-8 tie. We were up to bat at the bottom of the 9th and there were two out. One of our biggest hitters was down on 2 strikes when he belted a ball over the right field fence to win it with a homerun.
This means that Plattsburgh only needs to win one of their two games tomorrow to make it into the finals.
