We went for a nice drive Sunday afternoon. I was born in Belleville, Ontario but my parents moved to Ottawa when I was two, so I don't have any memories of it. And, we wanted to do the Loyalist Parkway from Kingston to Belleville, and go across the Glenora-Picton ferry. This would be a very nice drive in the spring and summer, with lots of choice spots to stop for a walk or a picnic along the way.
Unfortunately, Ontario at this time of year isn't very scenic. Everything is just kind of grey. So we didn't take many photos, although I did get a few shots of Belleville, which actually seems to be a fairly nice little city of 49,000 people.
Here's the bridge over the Bay of Quinte where I walked up to get the picture above...
We drove back to Kingston on Highway 401, the main highway that runs between Toronto and Montreal. The speed limit is 100 km/h (62 mph), and we had the cruise control set on that speed. We were the only ones though! Even the other little cars on the road were going much faster. So many people purposely buy fuel efficient cars, and then they drive them inefficiently!
