Good dinner

We have no real news this week, work has been busy for both of us.

Kevin has had a few changes at the RV place and because of this he now works 8:30am-1pm, does his courier run from just before 2pm to about 5pm and then goes back to the RV place from 5-7pm.  Then again at the RV place Sat 8:30am-5pm and Sun. 11am-4pm.  This is why he has so little time to spend on Sherman.

As I said no real excitement, except the bear episode the other day at my Dad's.  On Wednesday night my Dad and I went to see Toy Story 3, unfortunately it wasn't in 3D, I think I would have enjoyed seeing it in 3D, but a few people I talked to said it just made them feel a little dizzy and couldn't focus as much on the movie (picture wise that is!).  Still I really enjoyed it and it amazes me how Disney can make a cartoon movie that covers all the emotional feelings and at times makes you think that the movie has real people and characters.

Yesterday evening Kevin and I decided to splurge and try out a new take out place that he had read good reviews on.  It's another one of those hole-in-the-wall kind of places, called the El-Asador at 375 Princess St. This one serves Mexican dishes (tacos, fajitas and burritos) as well as Indian curries with the owner/chef's own spin on things by also giving you an option of having the curries in a wrap similiar to a burrito. Prices range from $2.25 for a lentil soup up to $9.50 CAN for a entree curry.

Jose who is the owner/chef is from El Salvador and had at one time worked at an Indian Resturant here in Kingston, this is the reason for the spin on the curry dishes.  The food is all fresh and prepared by Jose and no one else.  When he takes a holiday as he did a few weeks ago, he closes the shop up until he returns.

Kevin picked the chicken burrito for $5.25 and I had the Madras beef curry entree at $9.25 and then we split the two meals in half and shared.  The helpings aren't as generous as the Wok-In but we were both stuffed by the time we were finished our meals.  The food was very flavourful and delicious.  We would definitely go back, it was good value for our money and you know how tight we are with that!  I still think the Wok-In is my favourite. Kevin likes them both, but the El Asador is only take out, and you can eat in at the Wok-In.  Sorry forgot to take pictures!
