A new pot!

Exactly two weeks ago today, I wrote a slightly humorous post about a pot that was part of a set that we received as a wedding gift over 26 years ago.

You can read the original post here.

It was only after I wrote that post that I thought "hey, what if there was a lifetime warranty on that pot?", because you never know about these things, right? So I had emailed the Lagostina company, and they got back to me right away saying that there was in fact a lifetime warranty and that we should send them the pot for inspection.

So on Tuesday September 21st, Ruth put it in a box, and sent it off to the Canadian Lagostina office outside of Montreal. It cost $9.32 in postage to mail the pot. It was just sent general mail, not any kind of express service or anything.

Today, only two weeks after my original post, we received a brand new pot from Lagostina! It came with a note saying that they sent us an improved version of the pot, because the original one was discontinued!

So, hats off to the Lagostina company! What GREAT customer service!

  3. wow.. that is something! Talk about Customer Service! Seems that is almost non-existent nowadays. My Tfal pots are just about done for here, I might be looking for a new set. Hearing this might make me consider investing in Lagostina pots!

  4. What a nice surprise, now you have to stay married another 26 years to test this one out. Be safe out there. Sam & Dona.

  6. We are really amazed with the customer service. Kevin and I both expected the pot to take 4 to 6 weeks to come back not a week and a day. Totally incredible! That goes for the Canada Post mail system too...they are pretty efficient as well.

Karen and Steve...I highly recommend Lagostina, we have been super happy with our pots and pans.

Sam and Donna...I guess we will have to try for another 26 years. Not sure if we will out last it, or it will out last us, lol!
