and for dinner we were making stew in the crockpot. Lindsey drove Justin off to a side job that he had agreed to do for someone who lived close by. He has spent the last two weeks in the evenings and weekends painting the interior of a house. He was almost done by the end of today.
I had made arrangements to have coffee/tea with a couple that Kevin and I had met two years ago in Mexico at the Hacienda Contreras Campground. Their names are Jerry and Paula and they live about a half hour away from Lindsey's. We got to their house shortly after 10:30am and had a lovely visit with them. They have also travelled to Mexico in their truck and slide on camper for a number of winters. They are still tossing around the idea of going this year or staying in the southern states and exploring that area more. Thank you Paula and Jerry for your wonderful hospitality, you have a beautiful house and gardens and we really enjoyed the Apple Coffee Cake which was delicious. Before leaving, Paula wanted us to come out on the back porch to see their pets. So out we go and once out there Paula hands us some bird seed and has us stretch out our arms and in a short time chickadees came by and perched on our hands to have a feed. It was so cool! Neither of us have ever seen anything like that before.

On the drive back we stopped to grab a picture of some of the pumpkin people that are displayed around Kentville. They have a Valley Harvest Festival here in October and one of the draws to Kentville are these displays of pumpkin people which were pretty neat.

Didn't really do much else today. Going to bed now as I have to get up around 3:00am in order to get to the airport around 5 or 5:15am. My flight for Toronto leaves at 5:50am. It's been a quick visit but Lindsey and I have spent some nice quality time together which we have both enjoyed.
