Playa Tangolunda (Huatulco, day 12)

Up at 7:00am, after not a very good sleep. A couple of dogs barking, and a few kids playing soccer in the middle of the road in the middle of the night. I guess you get what you pay for sometimes!

We had a quick coffee and tea, and then got Sherman ready for the long drive over to the Huatulco Trailer Park.

Five minutes later, we were there.

Backed up to the dump station, emptied the holding tanks, and filled up the fresh water tank.

Ruth did some hand laundry, while I cleaned some of Sherman’s windows and screens. It’s amazing how much dirt and dust are collected on the window screens. Today, I did the side that was in the shade in the afternoon. Tomorrow, I’ll do the side that will be in the shade in the morning!

And, I have to clean the fridge burner tomorrow. The fridge is having a hard time keeping up with the hot weather. That is...my beer is not as cold as it should be!

There is a couple here from Europe, but traveling in an American pickup truck and camper. He is from Austria, she is from Spain. He plays the accordian, and he's very good! I'm enjoying his music, but hopefully it doesn't start at 5:00am!

Ruth needed a green pepper for dinner. There are no verduras (vegetable) stores around here, so we walked over to the fancy steak and lobster restaurant and asked if we could buy a green pepper! Too funny. We probably overpaid for it at 10 pesos (83 cents!) , but it was necessary for our peppery beef stroganoff. Ha! The things we do in Mexico!

Alex made it back to New York today, safe and sound…and cold.

Another bird picture. What kind of bird is it, you ask? I dunno...it's just a bird.

  5. WBY...It is warm. I think it must have hit about 34C (93F). -31C is just to cold to even think about. We remember those days and we sure don't miss them! Hope it warms up soon for you.

Chuck and Anneke...it has been great weather and yes we would put up with the noise too, for the nice weather. Was nice a quiet last night. Not sure about tonight. The four units from Quebec come back from an overnight trip to the city of Oaxaca and we have heard from the others that are parked here, that the generators run most of the night. We are hoping this won't be the case.
