Playa Zipolite (day 6)

One thing I forgot to tell you about regarding the downside to RV’ing in Mexico. Every time that we have been here, we have picked up some kind of stomach bug at some point during our stay. Usually related to eating out…

Now I have no idea if this is related to yesterday evening’s meal, but I woke up this morning feeling bleh. And the day got progressively worse for me, as I spent most of the afternoon and evening lying on the couch. Usually these things tend to get worse for me before they get better, so I’m not looking forward to the next few days.

We were actually planning to leave tomorrow morning, but now we’ll put that off and just play it by ear.

Ruth had a good day though. We saw a sign on the beach the other day that said “Half hour massage, 50 pesos”. Yes, $4.16. So Ruth wandered down to check it out, and sure enough there is a girl doing massages for 50 pesos for a half hour. Or, 100 pesos for an hour. So Ruth took advantage of the deal and had a half hour massage. 50 pesos well spent! Maybe if I feel better I’ll take advantage of this as well before we leave!

  1. Sorry about having the 'blehs'! Here on the Isla de la Piedra we can get a massage by a pro ( Colorado trained) for 300 pesos per hour or 400 pesos per 90 minutes. She is so very excellent that I treat myself 3 -4 times per month for the 90 minuter. Compared to Canadian prices this is a wonderful deal.

  5. Thanks everyone! Kevin is feeling much better today, he's pretty much back to normal so he's a Happy Camper! I think he got pretty luck that whatever it was never got real bad.

Contessa, I am not sure if the girl who did my massage was a professional but she certainly knew how to give a proper massage right down to all the pressure points on my hands and feet, so I feel I got a steal of a deal.

Chris, thanks for the tip. If we have a problem again (knock on wood we won't) we will remember that.
