Yesterday morning we picked up Lindsey and Cameron and drove up to Gaspereau Mountain , about 20 minutes from town. The village of Gaspereau is a nice little place situated in a valley and it will make for some nice photos when things get green in a couple of weeks. But yesterday was cloudy and rainy.
Up on Gaspereau Mountain , couchsurfers Angela and Glenn have a beautiful place on 50 acres with a perfect spot to park Sherman . They have lots of hiking and mountain biking trails on their property, and a beautiful friendly dog named Mia. So we visited with them for an hour and got to know each other a bit. After we come back from our Lunenburg trip we’ll probably park up there for a while.

Had Lindsey and Cameron back to the motorhome and Ruth made a pancake and maple syrup lunch. It was nice to be able to have the windows open and a bit of a breeze flowing through!
It is raining on and off again this morning, but at least it’s warm. Didn’t need to put the furnace on because it was still 19C (66F) inside the motorhome when we woke up!
We’re going to move Sherman within the next couple of hours over to couchsurfer Tracey’s house. Her boyfriend Gary is supposed to be there so we’ll get to meet him. No plans for the rest of the day though. Hopefully it will clear up a bit!
Wow gotta love the heat wave, sure is nice to turn off the heat and open the windows again. Nice you have a good selection of couchsurfers to choose from.
ReplyDeleteAnother cute picture and a heat wave life is good.
ReplyDeleteGeorge and Suzie...Yesterday was the first day since we arrived in Nova Scotia that we haven't had to turn the furnace on. This morning though we had the little electric heater on for a while. I guess the heatwave was short lived.
ReplyDeleteKenny and Angela...Thanks, Lindsey wanted to take Mia home with her. She is such a sweetie, I think she should get along fine with Whiskey. She loves attention.
