The main reason for the bike ride today was to get a picture of Gaspereau Valley and the village of Gaspereau. We had seen this view driving up where quite a few times, but it was always so miserable and cloudy that it wasn't good for a picture.
Nice hill, until you have to ride back up it!
The Gaspereau Valley
Other problem was that the black flies are out in full force and if you stop for a rest or have to walk up a section of hill, as I had to do, they don't take long to swarm around you. Oh well, I'd rather have sunshine and nice weather. If it means having to put up with a few black flies, I'll survive.
Only other project for today was taking apart Sherman's dashboard. I think he hit too many topes (speedbumps) in Mexico and the left side of the dash has drooped a bit. I've got it all apart, but can't see what's causing the problem. I set it all aside, and will take a fresh look at it again today.
We are missing Ruth, and Whiskey definitely seems a bit miffed that she's not around. She wants to go for a walk, and then I get her out and she just wants to turn around again. A little frustrating because I don't want to just drag her along. Going down to Lindsey and Justins this afternoon, so maybe Lindsey will come with us for a stroll.
Got to pick up a couple of grocery items, so I'll peruse the online flyers to see what's on sale before I go.
So pretty there!
ReplyDeleteWe have mosquitoes here, the most in years! yikes.
Cheers!
I have heard about those black flies. Looks like a great bike ride, except for that uphill part. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the sun, I'll take it even if it comes with the flys~~~~
ReplyDeleteUphill? No thanks. I'd be lucky to make it down the hill and then somebody would have to come get me. But a great view of the valley.
ReplyDeleteLove the header, so pretty. Whiskey is looking for Ruth, in & out. Happens here when one of us is gone.
ReplyDeleteGotta love the sunshine and warmer weather. We are so lucky to be in and area of south western Ontario with next to no mosquitoes and black flies.
ReplyDeleteLife's a Journey...Very pretty now with the trees coming out. We think there will be too many mosquitoes.
ReplyDeleteJanie and John...You're lucky if you don't get blackflies.
Gail...Nice warm weather with a good breeze would keep them away and us happy.
Jim and Sandi...Uphill is hard but the more we do it the easier it gets.
Contessa...She is always out of sorts when one of us is gone.
George and Suzie...No mosquitoes or blackfly. Sounds like heaven.
