Europe in a motorhome?

We got into this motorhoming thing about four years ago. In fact, we had never even been in a motorhome until July of 2007. We always thought of motorhomes as being crammed into RV parks with your neighbor being parked about 10 feet away and we knew that wasn't for us. But then we met Glen and Steve.

Our friends Glen and Steve are originally from England, but they have been traveling full time for over 15 years. They have motorhomed all over Canada, the U.S., and Mexico but have also motorhomed in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and all of Europe. When we met them in July of 2007, they were near the beginning of a two year plan exploring North America with their new to them Class C nicknamed "Harry".

Glen and Steve taught us how to travel in an RV inexpensively and how to avoid the majority of RV parks.

In December of 2007, we reunited with Glen and Steve in San Diego and spent a few months exploring Mexico's Baja Peninsula. They were also instrumental in getting us to explore mainland Mexico the following year and we spent a couple of months with them at the time.

Anyhow, getting to the point of this post, Steve and Glen had bought a brand new 2011 Rimor Koala motorhome in England this past spring. They've already taken it on a 6,000 km trip through France, Germany, and Italy, however their plans have changed and now it is up for sale.

This motorhome is a turbo diesel and gets approximately 26 mpg!

If anybody want to do an extended RV trip in Europe, this is the way to go as it comes fully equipped with all accessories...just hop in it and go. And, it's left hand drive so that when you're done your Europe trip you can have it shipped back to America. Asking price is 34,995 British Pounds or approx $58,000 U.S.

Once they have received a deposit, they will deliver your new motorhome anywhere in Europe for the start of your trip!

You can see it here...

  6. In the past week have met 2 different couples from Germany traveling in Motorhomes here in Utah area.
1st couple rents a motorhome every time they come over here. This was their 6th time.
2nd couple just met yesterday, they own a motorhome similar to your friends in Europe. They keep their motorhome here in USA in Storage and come here several times a year and travel around.
I did a post on my blog about your friends RV for sale with a link to their site.
    see ya

  8. Donna...We're like you, we think it would be fun but with having Whiskey we are still not ready for that adventure yet.

George and Suzie...It definitely looks like a nice little unit, some time in the future we will also do Europe.

Sue and Doug...Very european looking! Guess there wasn't much to talk about in the blogging world yesterday.

heyduke50...When you are finished exploring the USA, there will be many more opportunities like this one to choose from.

Rick and Elaine...Gotta love the gas mileage for sure, but when you have to pay as much as they do for fuel in Europe you want something that is fuel efficient.

Mark and Lauree...There are certainly many Europeans that motorhome through the States. Everything is much cheaper for one thing and so many beautiful places to visit. Our friends Glen and Steve, have always bought a motorhome in the country they are going to travel in and when they are finished they turn around and sell it. They have done this in South Africa and Australia and they have also done motorhome swapping. Thank you for posting about their unit on your site.

Chris...Yep, Barra was a pretty spot, our only problem when we were there was that it was cool and very windy so we didn't stay as long as we would have liked.
