Our son Alex came up and visited and we watched Canada's second game in the Little League World Series on television. Venezuela beat the crap out of us, 8-0. The twelve year olds is one of the best age groups to watch in Little League...they can make some amazing plays, yet they're still young enough to just be kids playing a game they love!
Headed into Ottawa to show my Mom's condo again, but still no bites. Then dropped off Alex at his place and continued on to our old neighbourhood where we had been invited for dinner. Had some great ribs with neighbours Barney and Charmaine and lots of laughs. It was a fun evening.
Today is cooler...only a high expected of 20C (68F) and there's a breeze.
The "to-do" list is getting shorter...
- Finish washing roof
- Inspect and caulk roof seams as necessary
- New carpet and floor
- Touch up paint on oven
- Make some kind of storage bin for the electric cable
- Sort through everything we carry and get rid of what we don't use
- More, but it's minor things that can be done while we're on the road
Your recent posts have motivated me to go through the cabinets and do a purge and get more organized - thanks for the motivation!
ReplyDeleteFor the first time ever, we have a Montana team in the LLWS and they are from Billings. The town is going crazy because they are still unbeaten. Sorry about your team losing. I can't believe how well you are checking things off the do-to list. We just seem to keep adding to ours.
ReplyDeletecongrats on getting your list down to just a few items..wish I was that motivated!!
ReplyDeleteI love the new header picture!
ReplyDeleteYour to do list is definitely shrinking! Good for you!
Janie and John...Glad we got you motivated. I am finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel. I have the bathroom and bedroom to do and then I am finished in the motorhome. After that I have to go through the bins at my Dad's and Kevin's sister's, but we are making headway.
ReplyDeleteJim and Sandie...Hope the Montanna team does well. We are trying to watch some of the games while we have TV at my Dad's. The list is definitely getting smaller. We have added a couple of small things which we have already managed to do.
Sue and Doug...We had to get ourselves motivated. There are a few things which we had been wanting to do for a couple of years and they just kept getting put off. Knowing that we have the tools handy has made a bit of a difference.
Karen and Al...Thanks, we do to. As for the list, soon it will be eliminated.
