Well, by the time this is posted, we will be on a bus to Mazatlan!
Yesterday morning, we walked the route to the bus station so that we would know how long it would take to do it at 6:00am this morning! And, we checked out the different prices at the bus station to decide which bus to take to Mazatlan.
The Mexico bus system cannot be beat. It's inexpensive, and with a lot of choice, even letting you decide between a variety of first and second class buses. For example, the "elite" class bus between Tepic and Mazatlan (270 kms. 168 miles) costs 243 pesos ($18.95) one way. The bus we are taking is still considered a first class bus and costs 220 pesos ($17.16) one way, and we get a 10% discount for purchasing a return ticked at the same time. So out total cost should be 396 pesos ($30.89) each, for the complete return trip.
Spent the afternoon back at Sherman. Did some reading, and I did some caulking repairs on the roof. And, some eternabond tape on one little cut. Very important to be checking the roof every month or so, especially on an older motorhome, but it should be done on ANY type of RV.
Looking forward to reporting back to you on our first day in Mazatlan! We've been in Mexico for almost eight weeks and haven't seen the ocean yet!
Sounds like a fun trip ~ enjoy your day!!!
