This area is sometimes called the "Switzerland of Mexico" and it is the playground for well off people from Mexico City and Toluca. In fact, the fiesta we attended yesterday had it's share of dentists, doctors, and business owners. While we were trying to practice our Spanish, others seemed to welcome the opportunity to speak English to us. Many were interested in Sherman, and Ruth gave several tours to people. Also, a few people gave us tips on what to see and do while in Mexico City, with two of them even offering to show us around!
Our host Chago is always making sure we're having a good time!
Our friend Pepe on the right, chopping up the lamb. Pepe is a dentist near Toluca and has built a weekend house on Chago's property. Yes, the fiesta was right outside our front door!
It was Francisco's party, and he was making sure everybody had enough to drink!
Beautiful sunset at Valle de Bravo
Francisco and his girlfriend were both celebrating birthdays.
Didn't get to bed until after midnight. A guy with his guitar showed up and sang for hours with people dancing and talking. What a fun night.
