Laguna Larga, (day 2)

Just a relax kind of day yesterday. Went for a hike in the morning, and part of our walk was on a trail that took us above the hot springs pools. And what did we see?

Another motorhome! Of course we had to walk down and have a look at where it was from. Turned out it had Guanajuato licence plates. A rare "Mexican" motorhome! We didn't talk to them because they were in the hot pools.

A rare sight in the woods.

After lunch, we went for a dip in the pools ourselves. There is only one pool that is actually hot, the rest are just kind of warm. Of course that pool is the busiest, so we went to one of the pools that was not busy at all. In fact, we were the only ones there!

Ruth, in one of the warm pools.

Only a week to go and we are off to Las Vegas! Speaking of travel, Volaris airlines here in Mexico had a big one day sale yesterday and we booked a one way flight from Guadalajara to Chicago on May 7. Cost, including taxes and fees was $162.50 each! Ruth has never been to Chicago, so we'll stay there for 3 days or so and then somehow make our way to Ottawa from there. We have enough airmiles for a couple of flights from Chicago to Ottawa so we'll probably use them to get us there.

  3. So confused about the travel plans! I must have missed the news about Las Vegas! I thought you were driving there but guess not if you are flying out of Guadalajara! Guess I'll have to stay tuned in to see how your trip goes! Pretty exciting!
