Received some exciting news regarding our trip to Chicago! We have been issued media press passes that allow us entry to all of Chicago's famous and popular attractions in order for us to tell you all about them. The City of Chicago is welcoming Kevin and Ruth with open arms!
And because there is so much to see, we're extending our stay in Chicago from three days to five days.
And word is getting around about the Australia contest that we entered. Fellow blogger's Karen and Steve did some advertising for us on their blog yesterday, so thanks for that guys! And quite a few of our facebook friends have shared the following link with their friends as well. Voting is really starting to take off now, and we should break the 1,000 votes mark sometime later today!
Remember, you can vote every day, and it only takes 5 seconds...just visit this link and click the "Vote" button.

And don't forget to share with your friends...every vote counts. Thanks for helping us win!
Things are quiet here at Hacienda Contreras. Barb and Sal have gone to Mexico City for a few days and we're looking after the place for them. Not much involved, but it keeps us occupied spending time with the dogs and taking the puppy for a walk. We'll get you some pictures of Bella for tomorrow! And feeding the several cats and kittens, and of course Donkey. Also watering all the plants and flowers. We're enjoying relaxing and passing the time.
Today is market day...always look forward to getting fresh fruits and veggies!
Hm, I think the "voting" website must be on Australia time or something, since if I go there directly after you post, I've already "voted", but if I wait a while, and it's often until some time later at night (for me) then I can vote again. Not like it's a huge effort or anything, it's just that I haven't managed to figure it out yet.
ReplyDeleteAgain, good thing you keep reminding us.
I do remember to put on clothes and eat breakfast and such, but other than that? Meh, dicey at best.
Good luck with the contest!
ReplyDeleteHarrumph! Free passes to everything in
ReplyDeleteChicago? How did you wrangle that? I had to pay for everything last year on my return visit to my place of birth and upbringing. :( Can you tell I'm jealous? :)
Since I've only seen the Chicago Airport (for a whole night!) I'm interested to see what else Chicago has for sightseeing.
ReplyDeleteGreat that you got the media passes!
Voted again!!!! :))
good luck..I voted.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Chicago! Free is always good. We went with a Winnebago rally, it was lots of fun, but definitely not free:(
ReplyDeleteHave fun in Chicago, it is a great city and wow doing it with a press pass, what a way to go!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear what you get up to in Chicago! Good luck with the contest.
ReplyDeleteRemember you can vote twice a day if you have both a computer and internet service on your phone. I have been doing that for several days.
ReplyDeleteWOW...how do you two manage getting into the greatest places free. So glad you are extending you visit. I think you will find Chicago awesome. Don't forget to take that architectural tour.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, the media passes!! Very creative thinking!
ReplyDeleteOK, six a.m. Eastern Daylight Savings time (or whatever time it is in Ontario) and I'm once again able to vote.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you at now?
Note to Bob - it is now 8:35AM Eastern Daylight Savings Time - I just voted. It showed 1041 votes before I voted. I always go back and click again on that website to see if my vote registered. It showed 1042.
