Ruth's father's house is in a village about 45 minutes west of Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. That's where we are for the next month. It's a pretty area on the Mississippi River. No, not the Mississippi River, this is the Ontario version with the same name. It runs about 200 kms (120 miles) from Mazinaw Lake to the Ottawa River.
We are located at the red dot!
Ruth and the Mississippi River.
Horses relaxing.
Looking back towards the village.
Ruth's Dad's house. Maybe the roof will get painted this year?
In the afternoon, we drove with our son to the other side of Ottawa to visit with my Mom and two sisters and nephew. Sat outside in the sunshine and visited.
Sitting out on a nice spring afternoon.
These pics were all taken with the new camera. Pretty much have all the settings and options figured out. Decided to use the 16:9 widescreen format right off the bat because that is what is going to become more popular for photos and will eventually become the standard. Just about everybody has a widescreen computer monitor now, and any new television you buy is in that format as well. If you click on one of the pictures above, it should almost perfectly fill your screen unless you have an older monitor.

ReplyDeleteHe does have a nice house and garden but it takes lots of work.

ReplyDeleteWOW...I am sure you all had a wonderful visit. How nice to have the family around you and beautiful weather to boot!
ReplyDeleteHowdy R&K,
ReplyDeleteThat setting may fit your rich relatives big screens but I have to use both slides to see it, but that's okay because they are really good pics!!! Just as long as I can get Ruth in one or the other!!
How come there are 2 Mississippi Rivers? The 'BIG" one doesn't quite
make it to the border!!! That's a fine family gathering y'all had!!!
Love the photos - your area looks much like where we live in PA. It's so nice that you are both getting to enjoy your families. That's funny about the Mississippi!
