Three weeks from today

Only three weeks and we will be heading down to Toronto and hopping aboard our flight to England. I guess we better start doing some planning!

We know where we're staying for the first four weeks, and we've already booked our bus trips for that time period too. So the important stuff is looked after. But we have made zero plans yet as far as what we will be doing or what we want to see. So I better get on that this week.

Kevin with Kelly the dog overlooking the (Canadian) Mississippi River at Galetta. We were house and dog sitting for the weekend.

Family of Canada Geese.

Playing with the zoom lens on the new camera. I'm told this is a red breasted grosbeak.

Ruth did some baking yesterday afternoon. She was making a flan for dessert and the recipe called for three eggs. It's pretty rare to get a "double yoker", but one of the eggs broke open with two yolks. Then, the next egg did the same thing! What are the odds of two eggs in the same carton being double yolk ones??

3 eggs and 5 yolks!

The finished product!

I was looking through some old photos over the weekend and came across this one...

This is for you, Sam!

Time to go vote...we broke the 7,000 mark this morning!

    1. Don't be jealous, I had a good teacher! Thanks for the lesson. It was delicious and yes, I am sure it was because of the double yolks.

That is a very relaxing header, Kevin.. I have an idea on getting you shades back; a 12 foot long dip net!! Or a 12 foot long frog-gig! Or a six foot long bungee with you on the end!!! Only thinking of you, good buddy!!! Yeah, right!! The new camera is really taking great pics; you don't need to spend $$$ for a camera!!! Three weeks!!!

    1. We haven't given up yet on retrieving them.

Don't worry we will have more pictures of Ottawa. My Dad's house is about a 45 minute drive from the city itself and gas here is expensive so we have to plan our trips carefully.

  8. Good to see that some people know how to make the most of life. It's short and the clock doesn't stop. Looks like the only thing I am missing today though is a slice of that flan.
