Cincinnati to St. Louis

We slept in this morning! I had thought we would have woken up by 7:00am like we normally do, but it was almost 8:00am by the time we made our way up for coffee and tea.

Didn`t notice any after effects from the accident yesterday, so that`s a good thing. Christina was up and about and we had some more good conversation. Can`t help but think we`ll meet up with Christina and her husband Marco again at some point in the future.

Kevin, Christina, and Ruth.
Kevin, trying to keep a smile, saying "boy, 12 seconds sure is a long time isn`t it?"

So we said goodbye to Christina and set off towards St. Louis.

Welcome to Indiana!

Just across the border into Lawrenceville, Indiana is the old Seagrams Distillery.

It was not an exciting drive to St. Louis. There are three ways to get there from Cincinnati. You could take the I-70 which goes a little north, the I-64 that goes a little south, or you could take the less traveled route 50 that goes right in between the two.

383 miles (613 kms)

Our first view of St. Louis.

They're building a new bridge across the Mississippi. When we were here last year in September, they were only building the concrete supports at the ends. Now, it's starting to look like a bridge.

Ruth got a good shot of the Old Courthouse reflected in the glass of this new building.

We arrived at Sam and Donna's around 5:30pm local time and they had all the fixings out to make Sam's world famous pizza!

Sam and Kevin enjoying a few cold Mooseheads from Canada!
