There is actually quite a lot we want to do in the area, and several day trips that we can take now that we have the little blue car with us. But we'll get to that eventually. We both felt like we needed a little bit of down time.
Sherman, getting a bath.
But that doesn't mean we've just been sitting around doing nothing. Sherman is getting cleaned up, and I do a little section each day. I cleaned the furnace and fired it up yesterday morning to take the chill off. It only needs to run for about 20 minutes first thing in the morning and then the sun warms us up.
Ruth went around the campground and watered all the potted plants in the campground while Barb is away.
We do our power walk every morning, and I'm wanting to work up to running it. Figured out that the route we walk around the perimeter of the campground is exactly 0.89 kms (0.55 miles), and Ruth has been doing 8 laps (7.12 kms, or 4.4 miles) while I have been doing 6 laps (5.34 kms, or 3.3 miles). I then do some push ups and other upper body exercises. So we are keeping active even though we haven't left the campground!
Mapmyhike website says that it's 0.89 kms (0.55 miles) for one lap.
Ruth made a big pot of spaghetti sauce and we had Sal over for supper last night. Sal has been keeping busy building a new bathroom and shower building at the far end of the campground. I'll get some pics of that for tomorrow!
No, Sherman's not on fire! That's the reflection of the sunrise this morning!
Sometimes it's just nice to stay home and get those chores done.
ReplyDeleteYep, it is nice to recharge our own batteries after all this traveling.
DeleteI'm sure if you counted up the miles/kilometres that you walked/travelled in the last six months, there would be no need to justify taking a slight break. Not that you were or anything.
ReplyDeleteWe sure racked up the miles over the last 6 months didn't we?! We are looking forward to getting out and doing a little exploring in the area within the next few days though.
DeleteIt is kinda nice just to putter around, doing stuff. Always something to do.
ReplyDeleteYep, there is always something to do! You will never hear us say, that we are bored!
DeleteThanks for showing us the other RV'S,it gives people some ideas on how to choose your own way to move around depending on each others needs. It doesn't matter how you move as long as you keep on moving.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right on that statement, jonyboytj!
DeleteOh...spaghetti sounds delicious. Thanks for the idea.
