Until Ruth went to pull it down yesterday evening and it came crashing down yet again! Guess I'll have to do a better job!
The "castle".
Teresa and Cassia and an elephant!
Lots of flowers.
More flowers.
And even a playground for Cassia.
In the afternoon, I did some more maintenance on the little blue car. Coming from a province where they spread salt on the roads at the slightest hint of winter, I've seen what rust can do to car. And having spent many years in the auto body business, I've also seen what an ineffective job most rustproofers do. I hate rust, and so I do my own rustproofing. That involves a fair bit of time because I take things apart quite a bit and make sure the rustproofing material gets where it's supposed to. The entire car can be done with very little product because it's not wasted on areas that aren't susceptible to rust to begin with.
Got it 3/4 done now, so only have to finish the last bit before we leave here. Probably about due for an oil change as well, so I'll get that done before we head out next week.
A few of us are doing an outing to a waterfall this morning. Should be a fun day!
Thanks for the flowers and green grass. With all this snow, I just about forgot what it looked like.
ReplyDeleteCassia is such a cutie.
Can you share a little more info about the castle? Love that you always post some pics with your daily blogs. The pics create some much more interest in the topic for me. Thank You!

Nice pictures of the castle , very interesting.
ReplyDeleteWe have an 02 saturn purchased in 06, I looked like new underneath, so I believe it was never driven on Ontario Roads in the winter. And still has not. Had it oil sprayed twice and for 10 years old still good under there. 1st brake job last fall and the brake drums and baking plate have no rust either.
It sure does make a difference. Keep up with the little blue car as you know it sure helps.
