Acapulco tomorrow!

We're up early and hitting the road this morning. Overnighting in Taxco, and then Acapulco tomorrow. We've been in Mexico for two and a half months and haven't seen the ocean yet! I have to admit, I'm ready for some sun and sand.

But we have had some water fun!

Chago and Paco getting the boat prepared while Ruth is ready to go!

Paco and Oti have a new boat, and they invited us to spend some time on the lake yesterday. Kind of fun to see the landmarks from a different point of view and we had fun buzzing around the water with them.

Okay Blacky, you can come too!

Some of the expensive homes.

The central area of Valle de Bravo with the main marina on the bottom right.

These kids were doing really well in their tiny sailboat!

There is a floating snack and drink bar on the other side of the lake. Pretty good business on the weekends!

Kevin and Blacky. She's such a good dog!

Horses on the shoreline.

Friends Paco and Oti.

Blacky and Ruth.

Expensive shoreline homes.

It ended up getting cloudy and windy so we cut our time on the lake a bit short. It was actually perfect sailboat weather though!

When we got on shore, we met up with Cesar and Gris and family, and the women made up a bunch of food. Like I've said before, we'll never starve in Mexico!

Oti, Ruth, and Gris (short for Griselda).

  1. Ah yes, practising good water safety there.
Love that big goofy life jacket on Ruth. At least it's done up.

    1. Yes, but it was only about half way through the ride that the life jackets went on.

    1. Blacky is smaller than Rigg's and every time we saw Blacky we thought of Rigg's. They would have had fun playing together.

    1. To see the downtown part of Mexico you will have to go to our blog post from four years ago because we are not actually going to be going into Acapulco itself. Here's the blog post from then. www.travelwithkevinandruth.com/2009/03/acapulco-day-2.html
