What some people will do for five bucks...

Want some help making your family tree? Someone will help you, and it will only cost you $5. How about personalized business advice? Some one will help you with that too for $5. How about a picture of a pretty girl holding a sign with your message on it. Yep, only $5.

I came across this fun, odd, and possibly helpful website yesterday. Strange I had never heard of it before because it's obviously quite popular.

www.fiverr.com

Thousands of people willing to do interesting stuff for $5. Want personal travel advice to a different city or country? $5.

Interesting stuff, and I've probably spent an hour just browsing the different things people will do for very little money!

We had a bit of a windstorm blow through here and we lost a tree. Oh, a tree and another picnic table! It's in our day use area and there's a fellow who lives over there who looks after things like this so I don't have to go over and cut it up. I will have to try and repair the picnic table if it's possible!

Crunch!

Fairly quiet weekend here. Yetserday, Ruth did some gardening, and I repaired a section of road that had been really rough. Among the regular daily duties. Oh, and unplugged my first toilet. Nasty business that is. I'd rather clean the fish shack!

We briefly pulled into 3rd place in the Namibia facebook contest. Back into fourth now, but we only need a top five so thanks to our facebook fans for helping keep us there. Need to vote daily though, so keep it up...

  2. Reminds me of when I worked in Sequoia Natl Park. Those old redwoods can come down very easily in a windstorm. I remember seeing three trees that had come down a few years before my stint there. They covered a picnic table. A family was having lunch there the day of the storm and the trees crushed her. Watch out for falling trees.

    1. Luckily nobody was at the table at the time. Those pine trees don't look like the root system goes really deep down so a strong wind can do a lot of damage to them.

    1. I don't think Kevin will ever enjoy cleanning the fish shack, he would just prefer it to unplugging a toilet!
