Finally!

I've been waiting over a month for a load of gravel to arrive.

Because of our park status, we can get some fill materials delivered by the "rural municipality" and it's a lot cheaper than calling a private hauler to bring us some road repair material.

And so I've been bugging them for a while to get me a load of gravel. The cabin owners on the lower lake say they've been waiting years for their road to be repaired, and I promised them that I would do something about it this year.

So, the dump truck arrived this morning, and he only had 10 cubic yards with him. That's not really very much, and I pleaded with him to bring me another ten. If I had to go through the proper channels it might take another month! He checked with his boss, and sure enough he went and got me more.

So now I've got my road fill!

And I've got my little tractor to spread it around with!

And so I want to get the worst parts done today. I'll hopefully be able to get the bad lower road done before the cabin owners start to show up for the weekend. And then I'll easily have enough time to get the other areas done before the August long weekend that starts next Friday! That is supposed to be our busiest weekend of the year, so I guess we'll see!

The special events committee has lots of fun planned for next weekend.

But first, we have to get through THIS weekend. We're being told that we're sold out again, so who knows. The weather forecast isn't really bad, but it's unseasonably chilly. Highs of around 20C (68F) and lows of around 10C (50F), but only a 20% chance of rain.

Nice sunset again last night...

    1. For the campers it is probably a little chilly for the water sports, although it doesn't seem to stop them but for us working, I think the temperature is perfect.
