We're the only ones here.

Everybody is gone now. The campground is empty. The store, restaurant, and registration are all closed up.

It's just us and the squirrels.

By tomorrow morning at this time, it will just be the squirrels!

We have a fire pit in our front yard. For the first time this year, we decided to use it. It was kind of strange sitting out yesterday evening in the peace and quiet and enjoying the warmth of the fire.

And so today we'll get packed up. Ruth spent some time yesterday making snacks for our long road trip. Some gluten free granola bars, and some amaranth squares.

Amaranth squares. A popular Mexican snack made with popped amaranth seeds and honey. Something like rice crispy squares, but a lot healthier!!

There won't be a blog post tomorrow morning. We'll be up early and on the road in the little blue car. Next time you hear from us, we'll be in Killarney, Manitoba!

  11. We spent this past weekend in our Class B at a campground in Holsapple in western PA. We went to our granddaughter's college soccer games while there. The campground reminded us so much of where you've spent the last few months. It was so peaceful! Yes, on the recipe of your tasty looking snacks! Take care! B&C
