Great views at Blomidon Provincial Park

We dropped Cameron off at daycare yesterday morning, and then went for a hike at Blomidon Provincial Park. (GPS 45.25702, -64.351691). The park is closed for the season, but you can still leave your car at the lower day use area and go for a walk on the beach or the trails. We chose the trails, as we were due for some exercise and the trails are steep in places.

I wanted to mention again the best way to view our photos. We purposely post full versions of the photos so that when you click on them, they become full screen. We find the best way is to "right click" on the photo then click "open link in new window". This way, a new window will open with the full size picture. When you're done viewing the picture, you simply close the window and you are back at where you were in the original blog post. Neat huh?!

We ended up doing 5 kms (3 miles) in the hilly bush overlooking the Bay of Fundy.

Guess who?

Beautiful views of the shoreline.

Part of the trail leads to Borden Brook Falls.

Lindsey, Sadie, and Kevin heading up the falls.

Lindsey, Sadie, and Kevin.

Lindsey, Sadie, and Ruth.

What are you lookin' at??

Coming back around, the view now shows the tide in up against the cliffs. Compare to the pic higher up.

We had a good hike and got the blood flowing. It's starting to get into fall weather here though. Yesterday's high was only around 11C (52F) and they're calling for it to get cooler as the week goes on.

Hey, have a look at our new facebook header photo...we're getting excited!

The Michelin Lady & Kevin... How long between 'tide' pics?? Every time I see Lindsey, with Sadie 'OVER-BALANCING' her, walking on STAIRS or over ROOTS & LOGS, it concerns e she'll trip and FALL on her... That is the cutest little squirrel..

    1. It was about 1 1/2 hours from the time the first picture from the top of the hill looking down was taken until the second picture from the same spot was taken. So it comes in pretty fast.

No worries about Lindsey falling with Sadie, she is very careful about her footing and taking her time or asking for a hand on any tricky parts.

Yep, it is going to be hard saying goodbye to them but we still have another week and a half before that time comes.

  4. While we are in Indianapolis, our hikes are going to be on sidewalks and in city parks. Not the best scenery.

    1. It can still be fun walking around even in a city, it's just that the sights are different. We love looking at the architecture when we are in cities but love the fresh air in the country.

  5. The Bay of Fundy is a beautiful part of our country. It's foggy and chilly out here on the West coast too!
