This is a nice area.

Nova Scotia does have some pretty scenery, that's for sure. We've been here quite a few times now, twice exploring with the motorhome, and a couple of times visiting by car and airplane.

Our daughter and her family live near the town of Wolfville at the far east end of Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley, a diverse agricultural area along the Bay of Fundy with a wide range of products from fruit trees to corn to milk and chicken production.

Here is our current location...

We are near the town of Wolfville, Nova Scotia.

Zoomed in, the area boxed in red is the Annapolis Valley.

Yesterday morning, Ruth went with our daughter Lindsey, grandson Cameron, and grandaughter Sadie. Cameron is still going to daycare two days a week to give Lindsey a break and to keep his spot until Lindsey returns to work. So they dropped him off there and then Lindsey had a couple of doctors check ups to follow up on being a new mom again six weeks ago with Sadie. They went out for lunch, and had a nice girls out afternoon together.

Lindsey, with our grandaughter Sadie all wrapped up in the rebozo that we brought back from Mexico.

Lindsey, with her big mug of organic hot chocolate!

The Pumpkin People have arrived! There's an annual tradition at this time of year to dress up a bunch of pumpkin head people around town. Here are some pumpkin heads doing some work on this building!

Ruth, Lindsey, and Sadie went for a walk and came across this crane type of bird.

While they were in town doing their thing, I stayed back at the house and did some planning for our time here and further on in New York City. I also went for fast paced walk to get some exercise and take some pictures.

Lindsey and Justin's house.

Their house overlooks the Gaspereau Valley and the village of Wallbrook.

Lots of orchards and wineries in this area.

Back at the house, I found where Lindsey had set up the hammock that she had bought in Mexico. I love hammocks! Notice that we got our new Tilley hats!

Other than skype, we haven't seen our grandson Cameron in a year. He's now 2 1/2 years old and such a cute little guy. Of course it's "the terrible twos" age, so he's into everything but that's just the way it is! He's fun to play with and he makes us laugh. Oh, he gets into moods too of course, but that comes with the age.

Cameron is a big John Deere fan! He loves tractors!

  1. Ah, bonnie Nova Scotia. Sometimes I miss it.
Don't miss those winters we spent on the "North Mountain" though. Or carrying water up from the pump house when the pipes froze....

Let's go back to the pretty pictures.

    Much better.

    1. I don't think I would like those memories either! Having said that we have had some miserable weather on some of our past visits. So far this visit we are having good weather for the most part.

  2. Definitely a beautiful area. I remember the terrible twos all too well. But they extended into the threes and fours also. Brought back lots of fun memories. Cameron is such a cutie. And Sadie-just beautiful.

We can't believe how much Cameron has grown. Even Sadie has in just the short 7 weeks of her life.
