Great contest. Thanks for the chance to win. I would love to visit many cities in Australia and New Zealand. In fact, those two places are top on my bucket list. However, if I have to choose just one, I would go with Sydney and travel from there to the Great Barrier Reef.
ReplyDeleteYep, Australia and New Zealand are definitely on our bucket list too! Good Luck!
DeleteOne city wouldn't be enough. Friends in the south who teach skiing at Gingavine(sp?) to the barrier reef in the north, Australia would be a two month trip! Oh, and Tasmania as well!
ReplyDeleteWe have to agree with you Kent, one city/place would certainly not be enough. Like you choice, good luck!
DeleteI would like to visit Sydney. Then we would explore other parts of Australia.
ReplyDeleteSydney seems to be a very popular choice. Good Luck!
DeleteLooks like you are getting ready fro a trip to Australia within a few years. Good for you. We will one day also and will likely start in Sydney and move on from there.
ReplyDeleteYes, would would love to go in the near future. After coming so close in that contest two summers ago, it has us pretty worked up. Hope you make it there some day too. Good Luck!
DeleteSydney.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck, Christy!
DeleteI would really like to visit Sydney.....!
ReplyDeleteSo would we Gerturd, good luck with this contest.
DeleteI would like to visit Melbourne. The TV series "Waterfront Cities of the World" made it look like one of the nicest cities in the world in which to live.
ReplyDeleteWe will have to watch that edition and perhaps we will feel the same way. Good Luck, Elaine.
DeleteSydney is on my list of places to go.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!
DeleteTheir website is down right now for maintenance so will go back in a bit. Already follower, already facebook fan (Tammy Warawa) but Cairns is the city for me. Want to see some of that spectacular coastline.
ReplyDeleteHope you were able to get into their site Tammy. Good luck with our contest.
DeleteAnother fan of Sydney here. Definitely on my bucket list.
ReplyDeleteWow, lots of people are picking Sydney. Good Luck with our contest Karyn Lee.
DeleteAdelaide would be my first choice in order to visit a good friend. Then I would travel east to Melbourne and Sydney and on to Brisbane.
ReplyDeletePerth is one place I for sure want to get to. Barry Marshall lives there and I worked with him when he was doing the ground breaking research that led to his 2005 Nobel Prize in Physiology. Can't wait to see him and his family again.
DeleteHope you both make it there to see your friends. Good Luck both Evelyn and Sherry with our contest.
DeleteI want to visit Sydney, but really I want to travel the coast.
ReplyDeleteWe would love the chance to visit the whole country but the coast sure looks beautiful. Good Luck.
DeleteI would love to visit the east coast of Australia, so would fly to Brisbane and drive down the coast to Byron Bay,where we have friends, then Sydney and end up in Melbourne, visiting beaches and national parks along the way!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great plan. Good Luck with this contest.
DeleteWOW! I would LOVE to visit Sydney!!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with our contest Amy.
DeleteHobart would be a cool place to visit... thanks for the contest!
ReplyDeleteThanks Janis and good luck to you.
DeleteI have always wanted to visit Sydney with my mom! I cannot wait to go there!
ReplyDeleteHope you get to make it there, good luck with this contest.
DeleteYou won't believe this! After I left my comment yesterday about wanting to go to Adelaide, a free cruise for two from Los Angeles to Sidney dropped into our laps. I booked it last night and on Sep 22nd we will be renting an RV in Sidney. Unreal. We are in shock.
ReplyDeleteWow, how lucky is that. That sounds like a fantastic time. You will have to let us know how you make out with that. How long will you be gone for?
DeleteRight offhand I think we will be gone for about 3 months. A lot depends on getting good deals on an RV and our return to the US. We also want to hop over to New Zealand if possible.
DeleteLooks like we won't be in our house next year for you to couch surf and to walk over to Pikes Peak and make the climb :(
Sounds wonderful, I am sure that you will enjoy it so much. Don't forget to contact www..drivenow.com.au Australia about pricing. It's possible that they can give you a better deal because you will be using the RV for a longer length of time, also don't forgot that they have those one way deals too that you could take advantage of.
DeleteWe probably wouldn't be in that area until April anyhow but even if you aren't there, there is always another time. :-)
We will definitely check out drivenow.com once we know our departure date from Australia. Thanks for posting their information because it is going to be very helpful.
DeleteWe did Australia and NZ 2 years ago for 3 1/2 months. We rented a juicy van and did 3 houses it's to defray costs. It gave us the opportunity to spend some extended time in one place. We loved it all but still so much to see there.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like the way we would do things. One day we will make it there. Hope you get a chance to go back for another visit. Good luck with this contest.
DeleteThat was supposed to be house sits. Housecarers.com
DeleteI figured that was what you meant. :-)
DeleteSydney and Melbourne for sure
ReplyDeleteGreat choices, good luck in our contest.
DeleteI would like to visit Sydney.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck Willow Moon!
DeleteI'd like to visit Sydney!
ReplyDeleteSydney is certainly the #1 destination for most people so far. Good Luck Carole B. with our contest.
DeleteOH New Zealand would be great!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNew Zealand would be nice too but it isn't in Australia. Do you have a favourite city in Australia that you would like to visit?
DeleteI would go to Dubbo, Australia so I could visit the Taronga Western Plains Zoo!
ReplyDeleteannemarie562000(at)yahoo(dot)com
Now that is a new place that hasn't been mentioned. Hope that you get a chance to go sometime Annemarie. Good Luck with our contest.
DeleteMore than anything I would LOVE to see the Great Ocean Road!!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like it would be a beautiful drive to do, hope that you get a chance to do that someday. Good luck with our contest.
DeleteI would like to go to Sydney!
ReplyDeleteAnother one for Sydney, it does look like a beautiful city. Good luck with our contest.
DeleteI think I'd love to visit Brisbane first. It seems like a thriving place where so much is always going on; I'd meet a lot of people I think I'd like, and then later, I'd re-visit - this time visiting some other less populous places, just to continue meeting people in other parts of the country, and to enjoy truly spectacular scenery. I just want to know what it's like to peer up at an Australian night sky that is covered with a mind-blowing spray of intensely bright stars, planets winking in and out of view, faint hints of faraway galaxies...
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you do things our way. It's nice to visit the big cities but we prefer the countryside much better. Good luck with our contest.
DeleteSydney seems to be my choice too.
ReplyDeleteWell I am sure you can't go wrong with any of the cities, but Sydney is certainly the best known. Good luck with our contest.
DeleteGold Coast...have seen several episodes of House Hunters Int'l filmed there, and it looks GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteMaybe one day you will get the chance to see it for yourself. Good luck with our contest.
