Photo of the Month!

You'll notice that today's header photo dates back to October of 2007. That was the month that we officially vacated our home in Ottawa and took off in our motorhome, Sherman!

For the next several weeks we're going to be featuring our choice of photo of the month as our header photo. We'll be going month by month since the October 2007, so this should continue with a different header photo each day.

And because the header changes each day, we have to make it part of the blog post too. This way, you can also "right click" on the photo, and click "open link in a new window" to enjoy the photo full size!

Sherman and Whiskey at a beautiful picnic area on Hwy# 17 between White River and Thunder Bay, Ont. Canada. Photo taken October 21, 2007.

Don't forget to check in here every day to see the new header photo!

Busy day yesterday. Had a board meeting here at the park last night that went from 7:00pm until 11:00pm. We took the board members around the park on a tour and went over everything we felt needed attention. They approved a lot of our ideas. The old truck is going to be put back into service. We're getting proper business two way radios, as well as a paging system so that customers can reach us instantly if we're needed at the office. Neat stuff, and it'll totally improve the efficiency of the campground.

We're getting a new playground. The old one doesn't meet safety standards and even though it's "grandfathered", it can't be added to or adapted in any way. The new playground is expensive, and it's a huge job to install. The installation has been booked for July 4-5-6, so you know what we'll be talking about those days. The kids are going to love it. What a structure!

Gotta go...Ruth is off to Saskatoon airport to pick up our daughter and grandkids. It's about a three hour drive each way so she won't be back until 4:00pm or so this afternoon. Long day for our daughter who was up at 4:30am to make her way to Halifax airport. I'll hold down the fort here!

    1. Lindsey said that they were really good and they were good in the car for the long 3-4 hour drive from Saskatoon to the campground. They should sleep well tonight.

    1. Lindsey doesn't think that the time change will affect them very much. They went to bed with no problem tonight so we will see what time they will wake up at. She is like us and just treats the time here as what the time is and not what it would be at home.

  6. Too bad your grandkids won't be there long enough to test out the new playground. :c(

I'm sure you'll have plenty of other fun things for them to do with you. Enjoy!

    1. We thought the same thing too! Cameron would have been a great playground tester! Yet he can become a great hunter looking for snakes, and birds and whatever else he might find.
