Well we learned of another strange coincidence yesterday.
Long time blog readers Esther and Steve arrived yesterday for a visit. They're full time RV'ers, on their way east and we're happy they made a little detour up here to see us!
They had a long driving day and we invited them for dinner.
Ruth, Kevin, Steve, and Esther. They brought wine! :-)
Anyhow, of course the conversation is all about RV'ing and travel. So get this...
It turns out that their son is getting married in early October. And it's an international wedding. He's marrying a girl from South Korea.
The wedding is in South Korea.
Of course you all know where we're going to be in October...South Korea!
From reading our blog, Esther already knew about this strange coincidence, but she of course didn't know our schedule. They said that if we're going to be in Seoul on October 4th that we're invited to the wedding!
Well, we didn't have a schedule yet, other than knowing that we arrive on October 2nd. So I guess we're going to a South Korean wedding! How cool is that??!!
Thanks for a great dinner! I just read your South Africa link, the world is so much smaller than we realise!
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Esther and thank you for supplying the wine. :-)
DeleteSerendipity! The world is indeed a village!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe how small the world can really be!
DeleteVery very cool! A great way to start your trip in South Korea.
ReplyDeleteWe are really looking forward to this! I am sure it will be one of the trip's highlights.
DeleteThat's awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks Connie and Barry, we think so too!
DeleteWOW... that is wild. What a great event to experience! Cant wait to see those pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteWe are thinking the same and we can't wait to see the actual wedding. I think this is one of the best ways to experience the local culture.
DeleteThat will be an experience! Will you need dressy clothes?
ReplyDeleteEsther is going to try to find out what the dress code should be and then will let us know so that we can hopefully be properly dressed for the occasion.
DeleteCan it get any stranger? How cool!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if it can get any stranger, but with a few of these chance happenings you just never know what might come up next.
DeleteMexican, South Korean, you guys are beginning to specialize in international weddings. Pretty amazing.
ReplyDeleteI think maybe we would like a theme like that. What better way to immerse yourself in the local culture than by attending a wedding. We are definitely looking forward to this.
DeleteWhat a great coincidence I am sure it will a great beginning to your visit there.
ReplyDeleteIt is sure looking like that!
