Yesterday, we went for a walk around the hills surrounding the park.
We have visitors with us for a few days, a younger couple from the Netherlands. Bart and Sanna are on a long term tour of Canada with their dog Mara and it's been fun having them here.
Beautiful day for a hike.
Mara is five years old and she's a really good girl.
Not too close to the edge...
Had to do some uphill to get to a view.
Sanna, Bart, and Mara and the view back to the park.
We had a lot of rain last week, but it doesn't take long for things to dry up!
Yep. Just happy to be here!
Guess who?
Our oasis on the prairies.
Bart and Sanna made dinner for us. Sausage and onions, and roast potatoes and mushrooms and salad with blueberries and blue cheese.
Delicious!
This was actually the second night they were here, taken with their camera.
They also keep a travel blog, although it may not do many of you any good because it's written in Dutch. Still, you can look at pictures if you like... http://bartensanna.reislogger.nl/
They're heading out today, off to explore the dinosaur bones near Drumheller and Calgary. But our house will only be empty for one night. We have another visitor coming tomorrow! A friend of ours and long time blog reader that we've known for about five years....but we've never met! Looking forward to this one. Stay tuned!
Our Amazon.com deal of the day? Every RV should have a digital electrical meter as part of your RV tool kit. Even if you don't know how to use it, you will have it on hand for when someone tries to help you diagnose a battery or electrical problem in your RV.
This one is only $7.88...you can't buy one cheaper, and this is the exact same one that we have in our motorhome.
Love the header picture
ReplyDeleteThank you! :-)
DeleteGotta love all that fun you are having and working too.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately we have been working more than having fun but we are enjoying ourselves all the same.
DeleteYou take the best pictures. Your header photo is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Shirley, it is easy when the area is so photogenic!
DeleteMy browser asks if I want Bart and Sanna's blog translated, so I clicked "Yes". It is kinda funny translation, but I still understand it.
ReplyDeleteYes, you can do that. Bart had told us that Google Translate doesn't to a very good job but as you said it gets the idea across to people.
DeleteOne of the times when I glad I can (mostly) read Dutch.
ReplyDeleteThat can be very helpful then, hope you enjoy their blog.
DeleteLooks like a beautiful summertime hike!
ReplyDeleteIt was and it would have been nice to have gone further but it was mid afternoon and really quite hot but it was still nice to get out and have an hour or so hike.
DeleteHet is best leuk om nieuwe vrienden te vinden van andere landen. Welkom in Canada Bart en Sanna, geniet van ons prachtige land.
ReplyDeleteThank you Peter, it is nice to meet people from other countries. I hope that Bart and Sanna see your comment.
