Although, we've got him coming in for a few hours tomorrow so that I can go into town with Ruth. It'll probably be our only excursion together until we leave here October 1st.
There are actually a few leaves beginning to fall from the trees and I spent a couple of hours yesterday cleaning some up from our day use and beach area. If I can keep on top of it and do a little each day it will keep it looking nice. We're going to do that right up until the time we leave so that there are as few as possible to do when we return in the spring.
Sure is a pretty park!
Lots of other stuff to do to keep busy as well. I'm install new eavestrough gutters on our newly painted kitchen building. I have all the parts now, just didn't realized that I don't have the proper screws. They're kind of important! I have to go into town today to pick up my new hiking boots that have arrived at the post office so I'll get them on the same trip.
Oh, speaking of our kitchen building, I don't think I ever showed you the before and after of that...
Amazing what a fresh coat of paint does huh??
And now that things have slowed down, Ruth is glad that she can keep busy doing things other than cleaning bathrooms!
Speaking of bathrooms, we're having a difficult time finding someone to renovate our main bathroom. It needs a complete interior overhaul, but there is such a shortage of labor here in Saskatchewan that we can't find anybody to do the job. One contractor I spoke to said he was booked through to December! We might have to organize it and book it to be done next May!
Thanks for doing your Amazon.com shopping through Travel with Kevin and Ruth!
Summer is winding down and we can all look forward to heading south this fall again.
ReplyDeleteNice paint job on the Kitchen.
We have really enjoyed our summer but we are definitely getting itchy feet and wanting to start our travels again.
DeleteBoth Kevin and Russell, our student workers painted it and they did a great job!
Nice paint job and perfect before and after photos---even got the shadow the same! Counting down with ya---six weeks til Yuma for the winter.
ReplyDeleteYep, the boys did a great job on it. You and Kevin must think very much alike because he made sure that the two photos were taken at the same time of day.
DeleteWho knows maybe we will see you this winter as we make our way back through the States in Sherman.
You two have done a great job.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kenny and Angela, it helps when we have good workers helping us too! :-)
DeleteLooks quiet-looking forward to you take on Korea!
ReplyDeleteIt is so much quieter this week, you would almost think we were into September already.
DeleteWe are looking forward to our trip to Korea and all that it has to offer.
Nice park and we enjoyed our stay there. With more time, we could have done more hiking. The hillsides are truly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris, and we enjoyed having you you and Juan. You know you are always welcome back anytime for a visit. Hopefully we can show you a few more pictures of the area when we go off hiking in the hills in September.
DeleteBoy that paint job really made the building look 1000% better. I'm so happy to see the school year start back.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry, it sure does look so much better! I bet you will be happy to see the kids back in school then you will have the parks and trails more or less to yourselves!
